This two day course is designed to explain the methodology of Resource Efficiency to enable participants to establish Resource Efficiency programmes in their own company. In-house courses use the theory to identify practical examples of Resource Efficiency within the business, providing opportunities within the course to identify real potential savings and improvements.


The course is conducted by tutors experienced in managing Resource Efficiency programmes and makes best use of their experience through interactive PowerPoint and video presentations, case studies, group work exercises and discussions.

 

Course Objectives

On completion of this course, candidates should have gained the knowledge and understanding of the theory of resource efficiency, in order to be able to carry out a resource efficiency review within an organisation. In particular, the candidates should be able to:
• Understand the background, drivers and barriers to resource efficiency
• Explain the techniques used when implementing a resource efficiency initiative within an organisation
• Give examples of case histories
• Apply the techniques of resource efficiency, including how to plan, and conduct a resource efficiency programme
• Develop action plans and recommendations
• Communicate the findings

Who should attend?
